Ok this is the weirdest question for a tonsilllectomy, but I'll ask . . .

Ok I had a tonsillectomy on Feb 20th, now I have been recovering and I would like to say I'm close to 100 %

Here is my question, did any of you notice any FACIAL CHANGES after the tonsillectomy, I'm not sure if they overstretched any of my JAW MUSCLES but my face seems like it is sucked in a bit at the cheekbones area ??

I'm I going nuts or can that really happen in a tonsillectomy ?? I know my face was not so sucked in so much before . . . can they damage facial tissue with their mouth opening tools ??

In a word, no.

Maybe you've lost weight.

Dehydration can hollow out the cheeks exactly like you're describing. Weight loss too, of course. Give yourself a few weeks, and you'll go back to normal. Keep drinking fluids, and take care of you!

Well, I had my tonsillectomy about three and a half weeks ago and i've noticed that my jaw is more pronounced as well as my cheek bones. I am a 23 year old guy by the way. But I think its because I have lost 5 kg since the operation... I've also had comments from my friends and my colleagues at work about that too. I'm pretty sure its just because of weight loss.
