Neck pain when swallowing
For over a year now, on and off, I've experienced neck pain when swallowing. The pain is on the left side of my neck, about 3 inches above my collar bone. It's not a stabbing pain, but it is uncomfortable, and I really expected it to have waned by now.
I saw a doctor about it when I first noticed it and he thought nothing of it, other than noticing that the tonsil on the same side looked inflamed.
Does anyone here have any clues as to what this might be?
I'm holding off on seeing a doctor in the meantime as I'm mid-way through a 3-month health insurance stand down in a new job, but in the meantime I've read about all sorts of horrible possibilities when googling.
