abnormally open eustachian tubes

I was prescribed Premarin nose drops (made in a Compounding pharmacy) for the abnormally open eustachian tubes...that give the pressure/fullness feeling, and hollow sounding voice.
Any comments on Premarin nose drops?

How did you know you had this, open tubes? can you pop your ears by yawning or holding and blowing???

Re: abnormally open eustachian tubes

I was diagnosed by an ear specialist to have 'abnormally patent eustacian tubes'. Symptoms were the stuffy/plugged up ears, hollowness of voice, vibrating ear drums. Tests included inserting a camera into the tubes via the nose. First to try the Premarin, next likely insert tubes in ear drums, last resort as I heard is surgically closing the tubes with cartilige from nose???
Only have the Premarin for 2 days as of 5/2.

Re: abnormally open eustachian tubes

I was advised not to 'pop' the ears as mentioned.
