How much Nexium are you on? Dosage and timing are equally important.
Standard LPR treatment is 2 doses a day of Nexium. Then you fall into one of two camps - those people who find it works much better to take the 2 doses as the same time in the morning, and those who find it better to split the doses into morning and evening.
I fall into the 2 doses at the same time camp. I've tried it the other way, which was completely ineffective. Taking them together worked perfectly.
So if you're on one dose, increase it to 2 doses ( a total of 80 mg).
If my recommendations fail, try the other PPIs in the following order:
1. Aciphex
2. Prevacid
3. Prilosec (Brand, by prescription)
4. Zegrid
5. Protonix
The same goes for all the PPIs - you need 2 doses a day to treat LPR.
