Hi everyone. First time on this particular board. Thanks in advance for your support and input. I've been out of work all week due to an ear infection. Had to go to ER on Sunday night - doc put an ear wick in right ear and Rx'd antibiotics. I went to my ENT doc on Tuesday - did ear culture and told me to continue to antibotics and return today. I did. He said the culture revealed that I have staph in my ears! How in the world did that happen?? He said staph is everywhere and for me, it's in my ears causing problems
I Rx'd a different antibiotic this time. The infection is SLOWLY getting better but he now put 2 wicks in my ears today (Friday) and said to come back on Monday. So now I'm hear everything like it's underwater!!
Horrible! Anyone have any idea how I may have gotten a staph infection in my ears?? Anyone had anything similar before? Any input or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to you all!
