Re: ENT appointment 2moro - rather scared!!
I had this done about 2 months ago at my ENT doctor. The proceedure itself is not much. Take the advice of girlcat36 and breath thru your mouth. When I had mine done my ENT had an intern in with her and she let her take a look too. I wanted to say, are you guys finished - please hurry.. Then it was done and it was no big deal.
I will be honest and say that the hours afterwards kind of surprised me with a slight headache. I figured it was done and that was it, but I guess when something foreign enters your body your body must react. The headache was not unlike other headaches. I would suggest you ask your doctor if you can take Tylenor prior to your appointment and be sure to take it aftwards too. I didn't and about 4 hours later it was too late...
You'll be fine. Just think that premature babies who cannot swallow yet have tubes in their nose for weeks for feeding. If they can do it, you can do it... No worries....
