| Microtia Atresia
Hello. My 6 month old son was born with unilateral microtia atresia of the right ear. I'm just searching to see if anyone else here has this condition or knows of anyone else that does. For those that may not know what the diagnosis name means, it means he was born without an ear canal or external parts for his right ear. The only thing he has for a right ear is what looks like a small ear lobe and a bump of cartilage at the top. If you or someone you knows has it, have you or that person gone through surgery to get a new ear and/or to get an ear canal? What was it like? Thanks for any input!
