continuous strep after tonsillectomy please advise very sick

i wont go into the many health problems ive had in the past,
i had a tonsillectomy in january bec of chronic tonislitis and have been getting strep continuously since.

why?
what sort of specialist do i see for this?

Couple of thoughts:
1) I had this same problem...and ended up getting rheumatic fever about 18 months after my tonsillectomy. I would definately seek help until you find adequate treatment.
2) An infectious disease specialist is your best best at this point for treatment. Also, everyone in your household/close contacts needs to be tested for strep. Someone can be an asymptomatic carrier and be continually giving it to you without you knowing.
