About 2 months ago I suddenly felt my ears fill up with air like i was descending on an airplane, but I wasnt, and since then havnt been able to pop them. Well since then I have been to numerous doctors including the House Ear institute in L.A. to no avail. They wont pop. But I am realizing now that I dont think they are clogged, I do here a popping sound when swallowing and feel constant pressure, and the need to yawn every 2 minutes. But I think its something in my INner Ear, since my hearing is fine. So basically I am asking if anyone here has experienced anything like this. there is no fluid anywhere, and all my test came back ok with no answers. I just feel awful , and it makes my head feel like there is constant pressure as well as my ears ofcourse. Any ideas???
Hi, I had a similar problem with my ears starting last December. I thought it was wax buildup, so went to the doctor and was told I have Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. The doctor said there is surgery available, but in most cases it will go away on its own within a few months. He said they only like to do the surgery for musicians or people who need to have acurate hearing for some reason. But for the rest of us, it sure is annoying! My hearing returned to normal within the few months time, but I have since had sinus problems/headaches that I think are related. Recently started a second dose of antibiotics for sinus infection...I'm hoping it will all just go away soon!
I live with this. It is on and off. The ears clogging I was told was from Clenching my teeth so much. I did go to a maxillary surgeon and he made me a soft splint. It really did help a lot. I wondering if you get dizzy also. I have been tested so much and finally now just live with it in hopes one day it will resolve.
