| Chest Pains from Decongestants
Anyone else get chest pains from using decongestant sprays and sudafed. I have a slight heart murmur but my cardiologist and ENT said it was ok to continue with decongestants. This last bout of nasal congestion has left me with using it 24 hrs a day, else the sinus pressure starts building up. I'm on maximum 240mg allowed a day, according to the packaging. It doesn't fully clear my nose but enough to kep the pressure from building to an intolerable level and also allowes a few hrs sleep. My family doc thinks I should just go for surgery but thats not an option for me right now. I get green discharge mostlly in the morning when i wake up but then later its mainly clear. Can't take the time off work but don't want to end up with a stroke either. Been suffering for over a year and I'm fed up, can't see how everyone else can handle year after year. Last year my allergist said my allergy problems may just be starting. Great!!
