| Pain after ear tube insertion?
My daughter had tubes put in her ears the day after her first birthday to alleviate problems from chronic ear infections. While she was unhappy and unable to sleep with the ear infections, she has been completely miserable since the insertion of the tubes. She continues to push and pull at her one ear. The pediatrician and ENT cannot see any reason as to why she is doing this. We've had several full checkups and extensive blood work done and everything appears normal. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Everyone I know had wonderful things to say about their children having tubes inserted, but we are anxiously waiting for them to fall out. In between her 2 long episodes w/ ear infections, she was the most content baby for about five months, even while teething. She is now miserable, has a terrible temper and is very difficult to be around- her pediatrician is also stumped because he know what her personality was before the surgery. We are currently wondering if we should ask to have the tubes removed. Any info. would be helpful! Thank you!
