| Left maxillary retention cyst
My 12 year old daughters orthodontist discovered a cyst in her xrays in 2005, (never told me) and we just had more xrays taken (same doc) in 2007, exactly 2 years later, and now he is telling me about it and voiced to me that his biggest concern was how fast it has grown. The cyst?? has at least doubled in size. My question is....Is this normal for a simple little cyst to grow like that?? At this point the cyst takes up most of the left maxillary with no where else to go...Can this effect her nose or anything else if it is not removed?
