Do I have to live with this condition?
Gp says my anxiety and stress about condition is more of an issue!
Ent Doctor say i have rhinitis but not severe enough to do operation.
I have been on nasal seriod spray, nasal droplets, and one week of steriod tablets. This has been since June this year. No previous nasal problem.
I did have a 3 week anxiety stress thing going on when i changed jobs before in 2002, this was also at time of my son being born.But the anxiety and stress thing is very much an issue now, and with the constant swelling of tissue , I am at lowest point in my life, and do not see way out.
Any help here would be great, help with idea of medicine etc to treat rhinitis and also my anxiety I have done the CBT thing and have one more appointment to go. It helpds when i am there but when not i am all panicky.

nasal douching with salt water helps my rhinitis.

You don't mention whether you're doing any type of nasal irrigation - either using a neti pot or SinusRinse bottle - but that is the first thing I would recommend. In the U.S. it is typically the thing that ENT docs recommend first.

The biggest challenge is figuring out what's causing the PND. Typically it's either the result of allergies or acid reflux, so I'd recommend spending some time figuring out what the underlying cause is and dealing with the cause as aggressively as you can.

It's really frustrating but it can be effectively managed, once you find a regimen that works for you stick with it, even when you have good days - it's a chronic condition and staying ahead of the symptoms is the best thing you can do. Hang in there.
