what could cause you to have only one side of your throat hurt when you swallow or yawn or even sometimes just hurt with out doing anything

yeh i have this also. my doctor looked down my throat and said it isnt even inflamed, but i have had a 'sore throat' for almost two months now. more a kind of dry and irritating feeling than a normal sore throat, along with sinus problems.

it is not constant, but it does seem to feel worse on the right side. occasionally it will hurt randomly on that side. i am not sure what this is?

Does it feel like it is swollen inside too..Do you have pain going to your ear?I have that right now..but on the left side..Doctor says it's a viral infection..so he gave me inflammitorys to take..he said if that does'nt get rid of it..they will have to do tests..Hope it's not cancer..better get it checked..
