Anyone have a pain in the cheek? - Ear, Nose & Throat Message Board

Hi there,

In December I noticed a pain in my left cheek. I thought it was maybe a sinus infection and I did get a bad cold a few days later. Since then I've tried 3 different antibiotics and 3 different nasal sprays. It is not going away, and I've no other sinus symptoms. Just major pain in my left cheek that has at times radiated to my ear, and gums.

It is worse in the evening, with chewing and after sports.

Doctor now says it is either TMJ or TN (a rare facial nerve issue). Going for a catscan to rule out anything major.

Anyone else deal with anything like this??

Hi Procan, I'd be vey interested in hearing what the scan reveals. I have had pain in my cheek and head thinkin it's sinusitis. I don't have any symptoms other than horrible constant headace. No drainage or fever. Antibiotics didn't stop pain/pressure last time I had it. Good Luck with the scan. painful neck

Have you checked with the dentist to make sure it's not a tooth? if not you should.

Yeah the dentist says my teeth are perfect!
