Re: how long until you can smoke after you get your tonsils out?

If you've gone 5 days without smoking, why not take this opportunity to quit for good?

I started smoking when I was 14 and didn't (couldn't/wouldn't) quit until I was 34. I'm very proud of myself for quitting, but the thought of how much money I wasted and how bad my breath must have been to my boyfriends, and how nasty by hair and clothes smelled, makes me regret the day I lit my first cigarette.

I am gonna admit within the first few days of my surgery I had a drag off a friends cigarette, and it was harsh. I smoke quite often and honestly with the pain of the surgery you'll have things on your mind other than sparking up.

Sorry I can't give you a better time frame, but its been 9 days for me, and yeah I can't say I don't want to spark up, but after trying that one drag I think I'll wait for a while to spark up again
