Can anything be done about my runny/blocked nose?

Since I was about 8 years old (i'm now 19) I have had a constantly runny nose. I've seen my doctor about it but he hasn't helped me much.

I have allergies to animal fur and dust but I take tablets it eases it slightly but not much. My doctor sent me to a specialist who cautorised my nose and did a septoplasty and neither of them helped. I was in hospital for a full week after both and off of college and work for a 2 months after the second procedure.

I'm using 2 or 3 packets of pocket tissues a day my nose is always sore from blowing my nose and just wiping it. Sometimes it gives me headaches.

The doctor has given me Nasonex for a year which didn't help and then Rhinolast for the last 2 years which isn't helping either.

I'm completely lost what to do I don't want to spend my life with people thinking I have a cold and a sore nose! Any opinions will help please.
