I have had constant ear pressure for the past 5 days. It gets worse when i yawn. I regularly clean my ears with damp q tips but have stopped since this has started in fear of damaging them. I am worried about this and want to know when or if it will go away? I notice my hearing is not as sensitive. I literally woke up one day and this hasn't gone away since. Is there some type of medication for ear pressure?

It is more probable that you have pushed ear wax too far into the canal.
Ear drop's will soften it.
Even olive oil from the kitchen works just as well.
Don't clean your ears with q tips (we call them cotton bud's)
if after a week you have no change-get your ears syringed by your doctor-
syringed= washed out with warm water

It might also be middle ear pressure which could be from an infection, sinuses, or something else. If it's that bad, I'd get it checked out. You don't necessarily have to have an external ear infection in order to get pressure buildup in your middle ear. I have a dog with a middle ear problem that isn't from an infection. It resulted in his eardrums eventually rupturing. Before the TMs ruptured, when he yawned, he'd stop halfway through, or only open his mouth halfway, which I assume was because it was painful or uncomfortable to open his jaw fully due to the pressure in his middle ear. Sounds vaguely similar to your issue, so...
