Perforated ear drum question, (warning...disturbing!)
I recently went to the emergency room because I thought a bug had crawled in my ear and it was killing me, I stuck a q-tip in my ear in an attempt to extract the moth but all it did was make it squirm around more. The tip had blood on it and it really freaked me out. apparently i had perforated my ear drum. I was driven to the E.R. and after a rediculous 2 1/2 hour wait a doctor put hydrogen peroxide(i think) in my ear. He used a tool to take out what seemed to be part of a moth and then announced that i had a perforated ear drum. I was prescribed antibiotics for 10days and advised to see an ENT doctor in about a week.
The hearing in my ear is not 100%. Do perforated eardrums usually give off a clogged feeling or could there actually be a piece of a dead moth clogging my hearing?
