| Inner Ear pain triggered by wearing glasses, hat or helmet
Hello:
I have a inner ear pain episodes that seems to get triggered by wearing sunglasses, hat or helmet that are a bit small. Very unusual ! My physician wife thinks I'm only looking for excuses not to wear a ski helmet....
The pain is located inside the ear (but not deep in the ear) and the inner part of the ear cartilage is very tender. When I move my ear around, the pain seems to shoot inside from the cartillage.
I read many, MANY posting from people who seem to experience similar pain episodes from sleeping, but that has never been a trigger for me.
I read about "Trigeminal neuralgia" - might fit, but seem be to be for over 50 (I'm 38)
Also read about "Geniculate ganglionitis" - symptoms fit, but seem to be mainly for women. (I'm male)
Thoughts anyone ?
Thank you
Robert
