| This combo ring any bells?
Five weeks back started getting bouts of dizziness and tinnitus (cricket-like sounds). For a couple of days, it was extreme and debilitating.
Also started getting tingling and numbness in arms and hands, especially left hand. Had some occasional neck pain too from what felt like a pinched nerve a month or two back.
My doctor figured these were two separate issues. For the tingling, etc., she sent me to get my neck x-rayed. When this revealed some bone spurs near nerves, she gave me a steroid and recommended a physical therapist.
For the dizziness, I saw a specialist who tested my ears, said they seemed fine, and suggested the problem would pretty much go away without doing anything.
It hasn't. Five weeks later. The dizziness and ear noise remains, though it's been more or less tolerable. Until three days ago that is, when it intensified with a vengeance. Constant bouts of dizziness and hard to focus, think, work. I'm writing this damn thing in spurts and I'm contacting the specialist again tomorrow for any ideas.
As for the numbness and feeling of pins and needles in my limbs, that's pretty steady. The steroid did nothing I could notice. As for the physical therapist, I just haven't gone yet because I was skeptical it would help (some lousy past experiences).
So at this point, it's unclear what's going on. But I do have one question for the board. I wondering if these sets of problems are linked (that is, the dizziness/tinnitus with the limb tingling/numbness). They arose around the same time. Has anyone had similar symptoms at the same time?
Thanks.....
