Clogged ear question.

Hi, about two and a half months ago I was talking on the phone and a very loud noise came through on my end. For the next three or four days my ear drum hurt. The pain subsided but ever since then my right ear constantly feels clogged, and whenever I swallow or try to pop my ear I can hear a crackling noise. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation happen and what the outcome was? I have read that if a perforated ear drum doesn't heal on its own within two months that a procedure is usually necessary, hope that's not the case. Trying to avoid making an appointment with an ENT specialist right now since I don't have insurance at the moment, but I also don't want to take a chance on losing my hearing either. Thank's.
