Alright. I'm 21 and male. I've had a cough the past couple weeks, something I probably should have seen a doctor about. Earlier, though, I felt a lump in the back of my throat. I thought it was mucus/congestion and the like, so I tried to cough it up and it stung.

It turns out there's a flap of skin/tongue/throat tissue/tonsil or something flopping around in the back of my throat. I can feel it whenever I swallow. From what I can tell, it's attached right at the base of my tongue, about half way down my throat.

Any ideas what it could be?
