It sounds like you had either a fungal or yeast infection on your tongue- I'd lay odds it's the tea tree oil that killed it. Tea Tree oil has anti-fungal/anti-yeast/anti-bacterial properties. I love the stuff. Glad to hear that you got rid of whatever it was!

my ENT doc said it def was NOT Candida- are there other yeasts/funguses that can grow on the tongue?
