I am going under in a week for these surgeries, for a deviated septum from a broken nose 16 years ago, which in turn has affected my sinus drainage and has caused chronic sinitus, leading to damaged, deformed and diseased tissue (niiice) Anyway, I want to know, from the break the bridge of my nose has a bump, I can tell it's just cartiledge deformed, but should I ask my ENT surgeon if she can correct this for me. I can't wear sunglasses as the bump is angled and hurts when there is even the slightest bit of pressure on it. Would I have to pay extra for this. I live in Ontario and my septo and sino are being covered by OHIP, but would the bridge work be considered cosmetic?
Is it too late to ask her if she could do it, I've already had all my pre-ops with her and don't see her again until the day of surgery.
Thanks
