naturopathy as a treatment

Hi,

I am suffering with chronic overproduction of phlegm in my throat. I have seen many doctors who have prescribed antibiotics, antihistamine taablets, nasal sprays, expectorants etc. I have also have an allergy test which shows that I have no serious allergies.

In desperation I went to a naturopath, even though I do not believe in natural medicine. He took a heat scan and a saliva test and concluded that I have too much sugar in my system and that the sugar is stopping my body from healing itself, hence the phlegm. I was told that I should never eat sugar, gluten, eggs, potatos or drink alcohol again (which would be hard as I am already vegetarian).

Does anyone know anything about this? Does it work? Is sugar and gluten usually the cause.
Thanks
