Bumps on back and sides of tongue and irritation on roof of mouth for 6 weeks!
I have had this for too long!!! First thought it was strep as my 4 yr. old daughter was diagnosed a week before. Negative after 4 days of pennicilin just in case the quick test was a false negative. Then was treated for thrush. It didn't go away. Blood work to test for mono--negative. Next researched possible reaction to new furniture (urea formaldehyde) but manufacturer says none is used in their products. (We even allowed the furniture to 'off-gas' on our back porch for a few days!) My tongue is sore, rough, and somewhat coated. The roof of my mouth has sore spots that come and go, seemingly dependent on what I eat or drink. Salt tends to make it worse so I'm trying my best to limit salty foods (really difficult BTW!). The bumps are rather large ont he back and sides of my tongue. I am sooooo tired of this!!! Anyone else out there with this 'condition'. My doctor wants me to see and ENT next.
