Stapendectomy Recovery

I had a stapendectomy on my right ear at St Johns Hospital in Hobart done Monday week ago and this is what happened:
Operation went for 5 hours instead of 1.5 hours due to foot plate braking away from staples, apparently called a floating foot plate, I also had excessive bleeding during the operation. When I came too, I was extremely dizzy and vomited for the next 48 hours on and off even after stemitel injections, I was kept in hospital for 3 nights all up and even upon release had trouble walking due to dizziness.
My right eye does not close properly or the right side of my mouth due to swelling presure on my nerve.
I got a metalictaste in my mouth 3 days after surgery that lasted for another 5 days.
I have also got 5 stitches on the outside of my ear were they had to cut some cartlidge from to repair floating foot plate.
I have regained some hearing in my right ear and are hoping it will gain some more.
I have only regained my balance now after 9 days, but my eye and mouth are still the same, the doctor said it may take a couple more weeks for this to come right.
If you are thinking of this operation, have a good think about it because it is or should I say may not go as well as other peoples operations posted on here.

cheers

Brent
