Post deviated septum operation- using saline nasal irrigation
Just had my deviated septum yesterday, feel just fine, but my doctor perhaps forgat to tell me anything about nasal irrigation, when am i suppose to use it and how often. Its my second day after the surgery and im still bleeding so am I suppose to wait till i stop bleeding or should i use it now?

You should probably ask your doctor if he even wants you to use it now or wait a few more days. He might want it to heal a bit more before you start with the irrigation. I would just call and leave a message for his nurse.....you sould have gotten post op instructions though.

I had this surgery Tuesday. Just a littlle bleeding which stopped by Wednesday. I was released fromt he hospital on Wednesday and my ENT told me to use it every hour when I was awake. Per the ENT I started before my release. However, I wouild also suggest that you contact your doctor as your case may be different from mine.

I had this surgery Tuesday and was released from the hospital Wednesday.
The bleeding has stopped and per the ENT the saline solution was started before my release on Wednesday. I was told to use it every hour I was awake. My case may be different from yours so I would advise to contact your doctor.
