Pressure on left side of throat (8 months)
For the last 8 months or so, I've had steady pressure coming from the left side of my neck, pressing into my throat. Quick history:
-Had root canal, chipped the tooth and the filling fell out before I could get it crowned.
-Continued to work/eat/drink/smokeless tobacco with the open canal until I began to have throat issues (yes I know I'm an idiot)
-Had the tooth pulled, severely swollen glands made it nearly impossible to sleep
-Glands on the left side went down, but have been bothering me since. My throat is narrower: sometimes I choke on my vitamins... never had this problem before.
I've been to an internist and an ENT and both say that there isn't a need to worry (no lumps, etc) though I can feel swelling with my fingers and certainly in my throat. Yet what the heck could this be?
I'm hoping for some feedback as to what tests I could possibly ask for next time I'm in. Both docs seem very content with simply touching my neck.
