Red face Need Diagnoses - 6 Month Long Throat Problem Symptoms

Hello Everyone,

For past 6 months have suffered with a terrible throat problem and need a diagnoses, I have a meeting with a specialist in 2 weeks and have see my doctor 5 times, however he has not helped at all.

Symptoms Include:

Huge and responsive tonsils.

Terrible mucus problem so cut out any mucus form foods such as chocolate, dairy, bananas etc and basically itís as bad as it was months ago. Tried a variety of cough mixtures from US and UK and also some nasal sprays. It seems to be the same if not worse while taking them.

When coughing up mucus, it feels like it is not just coughing up but I need to cough it down from slightly above my tonsils.

Mucus color varies from green, to orange to dark brown.

Constant throat irritation

Canít speak for any prolonged amount of times because throat will hurt. I would say I was fine for 2 minutes, discomfort after 5 minutes. Occasionally will have a good day where I can speak for 15 minutes when recording videos for my business. However this happens every few weeks.

One evening recently I laid by head on my pillow and instantly started to leak out of my nose, after getting up 4 times a minute after the other, I blew my nose enough times to make it stop.

Occasional gut stabbing pain, sort of like the feel from taking antibiotics however I tried those for a week around 2 months ago and no improvement.

I have had a very bad case of glandular fever just over 2 years ago where I spent a week in hospital in Africa, 1 week in a UK hospital followed by months of bed rest.

Recently have had a couple days of jaw pain, perhaps caused by wisdom teeth coming through.

My tonsils are visible from an outline in my neck as well.

My Diet: (in order of popularity)

Breakfasts consist of: Porridge, Wheaterbiks, Bacon Sandwich

Lunch varies between: Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Salad, Fish Salad, Pizza, Crackers and Ham

Dinner varies between: Pasta & Tomato Sause, Pizza, Take Away, Fish Salad

Snacks varies between: Peaches in Grape Juice, Biscuits, Fruit, Crackers

Health:

I use to feel like I could run a mile flat out (although I wasnít actually anywhere near that fit) however now, donít feel I could even walk to the shops. Sure Iím able to but feel a lot weaker then I use to.
Also appear to have a much weekend immune system. Small things make me ill recently when in the past before this all started, I was much stronger.

Also I would say over the 6 months, itís got worse, not better.

Try some yoga. It helped a little bit. Stretching helps relaxing. And no smoking or drinking.
