| Sore tongue - in back - near tonsils
I had been having problems with sore throats on and off but have been feeling good for a couple of weeks now.
This past weekend, I had a glass of wine and noticed a small spot on the back of my tongue was getting sore. By the end of the night, it was really sore and I needed tylenol. I have been taking Tylenol for 2 days now because the pain will not go away.
Like I said, the pain is on the back of my tongue, near my tonsils. It isn't the whole tongue, just the left area, where my taste buds are. I can stick my finger back there and press on that area, and it is uncomfortable.
I am wondering if the wine had anything to do with this? Why only one small area - mostly the taste bud area on the left side.
