Hacking cough and tonsil stones

Have had tonsil stones for years ...Lately I have developed this awful hacking dry cough and I feel like there is something stuck in my throat.
The cough is not related to meds.

Am wondering if these stones are making me feel like that.
Sometimes they are very hard to remove and seem to be stuck way up in the crevice by my tonsil.

Would a sinus med help to aleviate them. Also could one be stuck behind the tonsil causing this cough.. They are very sticky sometimes..

Has anybody here experienced a problem of coughing from tonsil stones...
Thanks for any advice. I need relief...
