Wheezing/Whistling sound on inhale and exhale

Hi there, I'm new to this site. I have these strange symptoms and can't figure out what's going on. I am a 55 year old female, very active, and in good health. I got a cold back in March that settled in my chest - not a bad cold, just your regular cold. For the past 2 months I have had this weird wheezing and whistling sound when I lie down and take a forceful breath in and/or out. It continues after I've breathed out. I sometimes cough (no phlegm), and when I do my back itches! It goes away when I stand up, but it seems to always come back. It happens a lot after I've had a cocktail (never happened before), and it happend last night after I had a frozen dessert. It doesn't bother my breathing; I can breathe just fine, with no shortness of breath. I had a physical last month with a chest x-ray that came back clear. He also listened to my lungs (Clear) and I did a breath test that showed my lungs were fine. I don't smoke. My half-sister died of lung cancer (BAC) 4 years ago, diagnosed at my age. She was a smoker 20 years ago, and her father (not mine) died of emphysema. I'm freaking out that I may have the disease, although my Dr has said he highly doubts it. But I have no idea what these symptoms are....any ideas?

I wish I could help! I am a man who has had no health problems but 18 months ago I went to bed one night and started strange sounds - whistling, wheezing and clicking which I thought came from the sinuses but now is also throat and chest. Happens as soon as I lie down and is audible to others near me. I had a chest x ray which was clear and have been to ENT at my hospital 4 times but they can't diagnose or suggest treatment. I also get itching in the middle of my back which I remember getting when I had chest infections as a child. I have tried decongestants and steroids but nothing has worked totally. I suspect it is an allergy. If anyone else has suggestions I'd love to know.
