| Always Sick
I keep coughing up these small, white balls. They're squishy and soft but they keep their shape when you put pressure on them. I have never had allergies but I am a pretty heavy smoker (about 15 cigarettes a day). I've only been smoking heavily for about a year but I started the habit around three years ago. It seems like more often than not I'll wake up with a sore throat and I'll sound all raspy and wheezy. I know plenty of people, my parents included, who have smoked for 20 or more years without having any of these problems. Why am I constantly sick? Is it an affect from smoking or something more serious?
