| | Ear Infection & Mycoplasma (walking Pneumonia)
I have seen many posts here from frustrated and long suffering people with ear issues. I also have been struggling with recurrent ear infection, pain, ear popping and fullness, extreme fatigue, night sweats, diarrhea, nausea and weight loss for the last 2 months.
Even after I was told the infection was gone, the symptoms continued - I was then told it was Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and allergies. Meanwhile, I continued to feel worse and increasingly fatigued. Today I returned to the dr and asked for tests such as mono, lyme, west nile virus etc.
It turned out I am positive for mycoplasma, which is the bacteria that commonly causes walking pneumonia, but a less known complication is middle ear infections. You don't have to actually have a cough to have this bacteria, and it can affect your ears.
So if you are having chronic issues like I have described, and haven't found an answer, it's worth asking your doctor to check for these things. Sometimes you have to be assertive!
God bless and I hope you all find a solution to getting better!
