I am 20 years old and this is day 15 of my recovery from tonsillectomy.
So, I am able to eat more now, but I've noticed that the right side of my mouth, the part where my tonsils used to be, still contains white scabby stuff. Also, the right side of my mouth/teeth is/are just really tender. Anything that could be slightly cool, makes my mouth feel so uncomfortable. If I was chewing something on the right side of my mouth, then swallow, my throat gets this burning sensation. The left side of my mouth looks perfectly healthy now, but the right side is making me depressed (not literally). Is is possible that my right side of my mouth has an infection? Or am I still recovering and I still have to wait another 4-5 days to fully free from pain?
Also, It has also been 15 days since I've ran or worked out and this is driving me crazy!! I am part of a college xc and track team, and I'm worried I won't be in shape by preseason. What kind of exercise can I do? I'll rather be gaining muscle weight than food weight
Please help!!! I know I'm not supposed to increase my blood pressure, but there has to something that involves something active... :/ Please help!!!!
