"catch" when I breathe in! what could this be??

For the last few weeks I have been experiencing a random "catch" type of thing when I inhale. It only happens a few times a day usually, and totally randomly. It's as if my airway closes for a split second when I breathe in either through my mouth or nose.

I'm completely baffled as to what this could be, but obviously I'm concerned (I wouldn't want it to get worse)

any ideas?
