| Need surgery for deviated septum, freaking out!
Hello all,
Recently I had a CT scan done to check my sinuses because I've been feeling congested for months. What the scan found was that I have a severe deviated septum.
I've seen my brother go through two of these surgeries (the surgeon messed the first one up) and the recovery looks brutal. He was spitting out blood in a bucket in bed for at least a week! I've never had a surgery before and hoped I'd never have to go through one, but the way I am breathing now I can't avoid this.
Another thing is, I have pretty severe reflux that sometimes reaches my sinuses/nose. Taking antibiotics make it worse, so I am afraid that the recovery time will be really long and painful for me.
Can anyone share their experiences with this surgery? Was it worth it?
