Otitis Media/Ear Infection.

Hello everyone,
I am posting because I have been dealing with an ear infection the last couple of weeks. To go into more detail about the situation, It all started jan 30th I woke up and had severe pressure in my ears. I could not pop them for two days . after working through it wed and thursday I went to see a doctor friday (feb 1st.) He looked in my ears, told me I had an infection, and put me on antibiotics (amoxicillin for ten days.)

Fast forward two weeks later. The infection cleared up and I finished my course of antibiotics, but I am still having slight hearing issues. Everything seems slightly muffled/harder to hear.

I went back to the doctors office this past tuesday, and he told me that the infection looked like it was almost gone, but that i still have some clear fluid behind my ear drum. He put me on a steroidal nasal spray for 14 days.

I am wondering how long it will take for my hearing to go back to the way it was. Also I am due to fly at the beginning of next month. I can pop my ears put it still feels my ears are slightly stuffed.

does this sound Normal for an ear infection? Will I be able to fly with remaining fluid in my middle ear? Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated
