Unhappy bloody buds.

so there I was cleaning my ears, and it just seems to always have a lump of clotted blood on it every single time. its quite troubling actually but I don't really notice any problems about my hearing its just that sometimes its itchy inside my ears.

I don't clean my ears with q tips like everyday more like once or twice, thrice tops. with a day or two in between of course. and if room temperature is a factor its not like I live in a very cold environment. you could say its hot, sometimes but its not unbearable.

should I really be worried and run off to a Dr. now or am having needless worries?
any advice would really be helpful.

Re: bloody buds.

Dreems, Welcome! It just so happens that i took my bff to a dr because her ears had pressure, muffled hearing that all started with itchy ears & she used qtips inside ear canal to scratch with. The dr said that she began with fluid behind her eardrum& itching from allergies & inside ear canal our ears lay down a coating of wax that acts as an antiseptic that prevents germ growth & when disturbed by a qtip then bacteria can grow & the bleeding is because the wax is adhered strongly to ear canal lining & qtips can tear the lining easily if wax moved, then germs then an outer ear infection. She had antibiotics, ear drops for 10 days. While it was healing it itched, she used qtips again & the same process happened again. When my mom said nothing smaller than your elbow in the ear, she was evidently right! Also, we found qtips that are puffed out bigger so they wont fit in ear opening but can dry water & clean outer ear that you can see.
