| | Tonsil, throat and nose issues
Hey all. The past few weeks I've been having issues that are getting progressively worse. I don't currently have a doctor, so I'm hoping to get some input as to weather I should sit tight and ride this out or go to the ER. Here's what's been going on. I get tonsil stones and frequently clean my tonsils out. While doing this, I noticed my right tonsil was very swollen and had some angry looking red bumps behind it going down my throat. It was odd, but I didn't really worry too much. Over the following few days things got worse. Now keep in mind, ALL of this is happening only on the right side. I have a sore throat, very swollen tonsil as well as gums. Headache, earache, swollen under my neck up towards the jaw, pain while swallowing and difficulty with liquids (they'll sometimes go up my nose), clear watery discharge from my nose that tastes salty and an off and on low-grade fever. I do have an ENT history. I've had sinus issues since I was a child and had surgery on them, which didn't help. I have frequent earaches and have had tubes placed several times. I have allergies as well. I've had chronic daily migraines since childhood with frequent debilitating attacks monthly that leave me bedridden for a while.
My main concern is the unilateral presentation of the symptoms because I've never experienced that before. Does this sound like something I should just wait out, or should I go to the ER and get checked?
Any input would be wonderful.
