First, you should see a doctor and not jump to quick conclusions. The likelihood that patches in the back of your throat is cancer is minimal. Usually white patches are caused by an infection such as strep. Are you running fever? If so, is it high? If that is the case, you may have a case of strep throat and need to see a doctor for antibiotics to treat it. Viral infections can also cause that, too, though. Just take a breath and know it is likely something run of the mill. See a doctor and you will know for sure.
