Can't breathe out nose!! Ever

I am 27 and for as long as I can remember I have never been able to breathe out my nose. When I try I can't seem to exhale enough air and my lungs start burning as if I was holding my breathe...Here the past few months and more so this past week I have had a lot of sinus pain. They other times I had a sinus infection but I don't this time. I have an apt in a week to see an ENT. Up until yesterday I never knew that mouth breathing isn't good for your health and not normal. I am worried about needing surgery or something like that.

You might have a have a deviated septum.
I was the same . I could never breathe through my nose...especially at night.
About a year ago i had surgery and got it straightened ..it was the best thing i did i can finally breathe.

Good luck

Re: Can't breathe out nose!! Ever

That's what I am afraid of... I never knew mouth breathing could cause medical problems. So I am ready to see why I can't breathe through my nose.

Re: Can't breathe out nose!! Ever

Don't be afraid..

I was that scared to have my surgery that i postponed it 3 times.
After l had it done i was surprised that there was very little pain.
And recovery was quite fast. I wish i had done it sooner.

Keep us posted.
