Feels like adams apple is suddenly pushed in when turning moving in certain ways?
I hate having to post here, but perhaps someone can offer me some comfort on my problems. I have been to doctors and specialists who dont know what is wrong with me.
I started having balance problems and vertigo around 12 months ago now and it progressively got worse until it went better for a while. I saw my Dr who ran blood tests, looked at my ears and also looked at my blood pressure and pulse. Found nothing wrong, but I insisted he send me to the hearing specialist because I was adament it was something to do with my ears.. perhaps inner ear related.
Went along.. no hearing loss.. nothing wrong with my ears according to the audiologist. She's referred me to see an ENT now, but still left here wondering what is wrong with me. Ive had no answers, but she told me she was pretty sure it was not ear related.
One day not too long afterwards, I was sat on a step waiting for a delivery driver to arrive and as I got up that jolt of vertigo/unbalance/spinning hit me like it does when Im in the supermarket or walking sometimes. I rubbed my neck and it went away! I figured it may have something to do with a trapped nerve in my neck or back, but still fear it could be worse.
Today I was helping my partner with some cooking and I was waving a towel around and all of a sudden it felt like I had been punched in my adams apple and had nearly swallowed it. I panicked, but put it down to the nerve thing again. Went upstairs, and as I turned my head around I got a really bad jolt of vertigo and felt like I was spinning. I can turn my head with nothing happening, so not sure whats going on. I was lay down after the vertigo attack and decided to get up while my head was turned slightly.. same adams apple feeling hit me again. I dont know whats going on and its leaving me even more anxious to do anything in my life.. I dont have a life with it as it's stopped me even going outside sometimes.
I also get pins and needles in my arms and toes really easily. Dont know if its related, but it seems it may be. I used to be able to lay flat on the bed without it happening most times before all of this without the same problems. Now if I lay on the bed with my arms out in front of me I get pins and needles fast. I have a constant dull minor ache in my right shoulder and neck area.
