I think my eating disorder started when I was 14. I am 22 now. I was hospitalized at Remuda Ranch in Arizona when I was 15 for bulimia/anorexia. In college I got back into the whole e.d. taking over my life, but somehow I am better now. Do you girls want to know my secret? Besides being hospitalized, I learned how to balance. I had to learn how to balance my eating (I still have some issues) with exercising. I think I will always have body distortion but I don't spend hours looking in the mirror. Instead, I rely on my friends and boyfriend to tell me how I really look. (sometimes they have to tell me more than once) Keep in mind that what you are doing to your body is so damaging. I know it's hard to accept when you feel fat but there is hope, so don't give up your struggle. Just take every day as a new one. Oh and Remuda Ranch saved my life. They are one of the best facilities in the country.
