What makes me feel like this?? - Eating Disorder Recovery Message Board

Hi everyone! Well, im just wondering if anyone else has (or does) feel like me, and what they think that it is. Lately, I have been really miserable some of the time, but mostly when I see other girls. Something about the way I feel makes me think that im so much less then them, and i constantly put myself down. I go through stages where I wont eat at all, or start buying diet pills because I think that im too fat. Im only 5'0 and I weigh 102 pounds but I still feel sooo fat and I cant help it. after about 1 month, I start to go back to normal and get off the "diet". But its always off and on, and now that school has started its even worse. Its making me get depressed to the point that my boyfriend is sick of it. Nothing that he nor anyone else can make me think different about it. I just cant stand being around girls, not to mention that my boyfriend always seems to have some sort of comment to make when he sees a really tall skinny girl. Even though that he says that he loves me, he has told me that his ex girlfriends were confident and independant, which makes me feel soo much worse, I always end up taking my self esteem issues out on my eating. please help

I would dump a guy if he said that to me. Even though i'm a LOT bigger than you (126 pounds) and around 5'5, I feel so big around people who are smaller than me, even bigger than me. I'm not a doctor but it sounds to me like you have some kind of eating disorder. I have low self esteem too. I don't know what to tell you about how to fix that. You have to be comfortable with your body. That's really hard because I know what it's like to not like your body. Just know that you are not alone and things could get better. You don't sound fat at all to me (coming from someone who needs to lose weight, you sound like the perfect size). Hope this helps a little.
