Re: weight gain from anti-depressants?

I was put on Prozac when I was active in my ED...one of the side-effects is weight gain, but I didn't have any problems.

Re: weight gain from anti-depressants?

I was on Paxil a while ago and I talked to my doc about the weight gain (gained 10 lbs in 3 months with reducing my calorie and fat intake once again). She said that the drug reps refer to it as "Packs it on", because you pack on extra weight. She put me on Wellbutrin, which I can say 4 great things about:

1) side effect: weight LOSS

2) side effect: quit smoking

3) no sexual side effects

and 4) it works wonders for me.
