I mentioned this before, but I am an exchange student right now and I'll be home in a month. I'm also dealing with an eating disorder and have been for 2 years. I was talking to my mother today about how my parents were worried that I may have changed and not like to talk to them anymore...and she said " but please don't get like [my sister] who believes that if you don't think about the problem it will magically go away" We werent talking about EDs or anything, just about how I thought I was more laid back now. But she's right. I can't just ignore my eating disorder. ignore the problem and expect to be healed. that isnt how it works. I just hope I can convince myself to get help when I get home. Wouldnt that be nice though? If we could just wish our EDs away and be free?
I think the same way. Like i will go through days of being like.. "its ok, just dont worry about it today and u can eat normal tommorrow" but it becomes day after day. Mothers are always right even if they dont know it!!
