Hello, eveyone...I"m new here and maybe I just needed a place to vent but I really hink I need help. Over the summer I developed a binge eating disorder. I have no idea how or exactly when it started, but it must have been because of boredom or maybe I just wanted to be comforted. Anyway, I gained 11 pounds over just the summer months, from 125 to 136. I'm 5'9 and I know I'm still not overweight, but I'm very scared that is where I will end up. I eat until my stomach hurts and then I eat just a few more bites. I feel extremely guilty afterwards, and vow that the next day I won't eat anything just to make up for it. I haven't gotten my period since July, and at first was clueless as to why I hadn't, but just tonight I researched binge eating and found that is symptom of a serious issue. I've read that people suffering from this should see a doctor ASAP, but I'm wondering if there is anything I can try first to stop my out of control binges. At 125, I never had these problems, and was always satisfied with what I ate. I looked better and had much better self-esteem. Please, can any of you guys help me with this problem? Thanks.
